Fred Blood III
is an award winning photographer based in Riverside, CA.
Blood III was named Photographer of the Year by Inland
Empire Professional Photographers and Videographers (IEPPV)
for 2011 as well as Illustrative Photographer of the year
for the same year. He was also IEPPVs 2010 New Photographer
of the Year. In 2011 he was chosen as an Online Hall of Fame
Member for Outdoor Photographer magazine. Currently he is a
finalist in Outdoor Photographer’s “Nature’s Colors” online
contest for his image of Yosemite’s Horsetail Fall as well
as a finalist in Digital Photo magazine’s annual “Your Best
Shot” contest with his image “Bentley.” Blood III has been a
photographer for just a few short years, but in that time he
has grown his business greatly and has seen impressive sales
of his landscapes and other fine art work. He is also
working on growing his wedding, portrait and high school
senior business.
Before getting into photography Blood III enjoyed a 20 year
career as a professional athlete. He is a six time
professional world champion in the sport of vertical roller
skating and is recognized as one of the top ten professional
freestyle BMX riders of the 1980s.
Blood III is the current vice-president of IEPPV and is
president of SoCalPhotoAssoc (Southern California
Photographer’s Association), an organization he started this
year.
